Total E Business Ltd delivers a fully comprehensive load testing solution for Oracle-Hyperion's web based performance management software whilst minimising complexity since no changes are required for the environment to be tested. This enables us to focus more on planning the test, capturing the data and delivering the results.
Load Testing Tools
A many load testing applications were tried and tested but did not meet the requirements from both technical and commercial perspectives, due to the licensing options and functionality.
Eventually, a third party stress testing tool called Neoload from the vendors Neotys was found to be the best fit for us and our customers.
Neoload addressed all of the following requirements;
- Ability to capture sessions and playback over SSL or non SSL
- An option to provide data collection for server performance monitoring counters
- Comprehensive reporting out put
- Full data output to flat files for more custom reporting options
- Flexible licensing model to suit long or short term projects
The main benefits of using Neoload was that we were able to get setup very quickly and start producing reports without any major setup trauma. Especially when testing systems that are fully encrypted using SSL.
The other advantage is the back-end server performance monitor collection. Very few other load testing solutions offer this but it’s a crucial component when it comes to understanding where your bottlenecks are.
